Come From the Heart
Promoting Cooperation and Mutual Benefit
as the Preferred Way of Doing Business
Since 1994, Come From the Heart, has been working to bring entities together for mutual benefit. I began setting up discounted long distance to benefit non-profit groups. When my business started I had no idea how rapidly the telecommunications industry would change. With the advent of cell phone service and bundled residential services we have needed to reinvent our socially responsible business.
While the world has changed and we have evolved, what has remained constant is our desire to use business as a way to empower others and make the world a better, more livable place.
As the world around me has changed my business has evolved. When San Francisco first banned one time plastic bags in 2007, I began contracting with reusable bag manufacturers as I hated the waste involved with one time paper and plastic bags.
Today, I contract with the largest domestic manufacturer of reusable bags for areas with bag ordinances, an importer of bags to grocery store chains made with at least 50% recycled content, and with manufacturers of reusable wine bags, and produce bags made of a GOTS certified organic cotton and nylon mesh. I now have the ability to sell smaller quantities of reusable bags made from organic cotton, recycled pop bottles, and recycled cotton. I am pleased to report that no business is too big or too small to benefit from our bags.
In 2013, we began manufacturing custom bottlecap magnets to benefit a single mom and her son with autism. Our Eat, Sleep, Read Local design is set up to benefit ABFE, American Booksellers for Free Expression.
In April of 2015, around Earth Day we began making reusable bags out of gently used t shirts. That evolved into custom printed t shirts on "up-cycled" tees, to now new tees made from sustainable materials including; recycled pop bottles, organic cotton, and TENCEL™ Modal.
In December of 2020, I contracted with a reusable bag manufacturer who prints a variety of custom bags with a 100 bag minimum. In February of 2022, I contracted with an organic farmer who manufactures a wide array of full spectrum CBD products and a certified organic herb farmer producing a wide array of herbal products. In June of 2022, I contracted with a company that has an organic, plant-based skin care line of products.
